The Europe Division of INMA today announced a new executive committee for its Europe Division Board of Directors, led by Lina Hedenström, chief executive officer of NTM in Sweden.
Hedenström succeeds Eimear Moran of the Irish Times Group, who has led the regional board as president for the past two years. The handover took place on stage at the close of INMA’s European News Media Conference in Madrid on September 25, in front of the conference’s members and delegates.

Appointed to the division board’s executive committee for next two years are:
President: Lina Hedenström, chief executive officer, NTM, Sweden.
Vice president: Marc Isler, managing director premium digital and member of the executive board, Tamedia, Switzerland.
Second vice president: Maria Sgromo, head of subscriptions, RCS MediaGroup, Italy.
Past president: Eimear Moran, group marketing director, Irish Times Group, Ireland.
Speaking in Madrid, Hedenström set out three priorities for the next two years: broadening INMA Europe’s membership beyond legacy publishers, going deeper into the association’s initiative topics, and keeping a truly European conversation going.
“Europe is not one market. Stockholm is not like Madrid. Madrid is not like Berlin or London,” Hedenström said. “We all need each other, because we're here to fight the same battle.”
Moran, handing over the presidential gavel, described the INMA European Board as “the best of the best” and said: “The tenacity, the resilience, and the drive to keep our industry alive is very much within the European Board.”

“Special thanks to Eimear for leading this regional board for the past two years,” said Tom Corbett, head of INMA’s European Division. “She brought energy, warmth and a sharp focus on what members need, and she leaves a board in excellent shape for Lina and the new executive committee.”
The INMA Europe Division Board manages the association’s European activities, including the European News Media Conference, training and development, and membership services.
