About the Roundtable

Since 1993. In 2027, Kilkenny.

Since 1993

The CEO Roundtable is INMA’s most intimate gathering: a room of chief executives — never more than fifty — meeting once a year to look past the next quarter. In 2027 it crosses the Atlantic to Kilkenny.

A conversation, not a conference

Faculty share stories and assignments as conversation-starters; the room does the rest. Participants leave with a scenario-based road map to take home and share.

Chatham House rules

Participants may use the information generated, but may not reveal who said what — including on social media. What is said in Kilkenny stays in Kilkenny.

Three days in Kilkenny

Arrive Monday. Leave Thursday with a plan.

Participants are encouraged to arrive Monday, August 23. A morning outdoors — hurling, golf or a hike through the Kilkenny countryside — then two days of Roundtable sessions at Lyrath Estate, with evenings in the city.

01

A news media company

The Roundtable is reserved for companies whose core business is news.

02

The chief executive

One CEO per company. No delegates, no substitutions.

03

Wait-list priority goes to CEOs who are INMA individual members.

What to expect

Kilkenny will be what conferences are not.

More conversation, less presentation

Faculty open the door; the room walks through it.

Smart casual

No suits, no ties, no jackets.

An intimate room

Attendance is capped at 50 — small enough that everyone speaks, large enough to surprise you.

Outcome-based scenarios

Programming built around practical decisions, not slideware.

Peers in informal settings

A morning of hurling, golf or a hike in the Kilkenny countryside; receptions at Lyrath and dinners in the city.

Bring your spouse or partner

Strongly encouraged — the social programme is built for two.

“Intimacy drives interaction.”

What alumni say

“The right people gathered in one place and time.”

I find it incredible we cover so much ground in only 48 hours. It is most definitely a workout for the mind — coupled with the opportunity to meet new and old friends.
CEO Roundtable alumnus
After attending many conferences and roundtables, I would say that The Roundtable has been the most exceptional.
CEO Roundtable alumnus
As the CEO of my company, it is rare that the entire event is relevant to the work I am doing daily. There was not a single session that was not of interest and relevant to me.
