Grzegorz Piechota, who has spent the last year as a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, received the association’s highest award for personal achievement in London Tuesday night in an anything but average fashion.

Silver Shovel 2015 winner Bengt Ottosson serenaded the audience at the INMA Awards dinner and an unsuspecting Piechota, who was clearly surprised at the final lyrics: “His name is Grzegorz,” sang to the tune of U2’s With or Without You.

“I’ve found such friends at INMA and I’ve found people who were willing to support me in different stages of my career,” Piechota said.
